If you needed to remodel your house, where would you start? You would need to hire a contractor you trust and let them do the work. Similarly, if you are in recovery from addiction, you are under construction and God is your contractor. In Life Recovery Step 6, you must be ready for God to remove your defects.

Being under construction is difficult because most of us naturally try to hide our flaws. However, we can never truly hide from God. David told God, “You know my thoughts even when I’m far away” (Psalm 139:2, New Living Translation).
